When I was little I always felt like Mona Lisa's ghost lives in that painting, and I even read a science fiction about how she was somehow related to aliens (yes...that being master Leonardo Da Vinci , and yes...I am crazy enough to read something like that, but I am a DOCTOR WHO fan....sooo u got it? ).
Her "sneaky" smile can never be caught, as if she always knew whether you were looking at her, and she was playing a game with you.
Well...well...well...let's start from the beginning.
If it happens that you are familiar with human visual system, I have a small trick for you to play with your simple and complex cells.
So is it moving or static?
Now let's talk about Mona Lisa that currently resides in Paris. Her mysterious smile only appears when youare not looking directly at her lips, and when you pay special attention to her lips, the smile vanishes.
This is the similar principle.
The perception of motions and shapes are of different levels, or spatial frequencies. When we are viewing the same object in different areas of our visual field (at the center or off the center) , the perception of the same content may also alter slightly. Play with this, some interesting effects may happen . 5 stars for Leo !
